The retail giant – Amazon has announced a two day sale and it is giving £10 off to anybody who shops at small businesses
Amazon will launch a two-day Prime Day sale on 13 and 14 October.
The retailer usually holds the Prime Day sale in July but the global Covid pandemic means that it is now taking place in the middle of October.
The sale on technology, fashion, homeware, gaming and Amazon’s own products such as the Amazon Echo Dot will be available only to those who subscribe to Amazon’s Prime membership, which costs £59 per year. However, customers can use Amazon’s free trial to take advantage of the sale if they want access.
Amazon is also giving people £10 to spend during the sale if they spend £10 between now and Prime Day at small businesses on the site. The incentive is designed to encourage people to spend money on smaller retailers.
Speaking about the confirmed date, Doug Gurr, Amazon UK Country Manager said “After a tough six months for everyone, we’re committed to making this the most successful Prime Day ever for small businesses, and excited for members to discover the very best from artisans and entrepreneurs in the UK, whilst saving big on everything they need and love from the comfort of their homes.”

How to find the best Prime Day deals?
If you want to get your hands on the best deals this year, here are some tips that could help.
1. Make a list
To avoid going overboard, try to make some form of list of what exactly you want and how much you’re willing to spend on it.
2. Watch a deal
The Amazon App lets customers watch deals early in every country. This way you can preview, track and shop those limited time lightning deals at home or on-the-go with deal alerts on the Amazon App.
It also means you won’t have to keep refreshing the website to see what new deals have come in.
3. Don’t panic buy
As new flash deals are usually released throughout the day, you won’t need to quickly buy the first cheap TV or coffee machine you see. Be wary of the time limits too, as you might miss out if you’re not fast enough.
