Chelsea FC Sack Frank Lampard After 18 Months in Charge – The Chelsea Football Club sacked manager Frank Lampard, ninth in the Premier League table with the club.
After the 2-0 loss to Leicester City last Tuesday, the Blues have won just two out of their previous eight league fixtures.
Frank Lampard, who made over 400 appearances for the club as a player, had been in charge since July 2019.
Operating under a transfer embargo, the 42-year-old game chances to a number of products of the Chelsea youth academy including Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham.
Chelsea finished fourth to qualify for the Champions League and were beaten 2-1 in the FA Cup final by Arsenal in Lampard’s first season in charge.

Expectations were raised during the off-season when the club spent over £200m on seven new players, including Kai Havertz (£75m) and Timo Werner (£50m).
However, Lampard has struggled to mold a team with the new signings leading to Chelsea losing six out of their 19 league games so far this campaign.
Widespread reports in England and Germany suggest former Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel is set to step in to the Stamford Bridge dugout.
