Floyd Mayweather has some words for Nate Robinson – Apart from Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.’s fight last night (Nov. 28) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, former NBA player Nate Robinson and YouTuber Jake Paul’s were another big boxing match.
As millions of people are aware of by now, Paul knocked Robinson out during their fight and the shocking event went viral almost immediately. The jokes were brutal for the basketball player. However, some of his closest friends have since shown support for Robinson while he’s, unfortunately, become a laughing stock.

One of them is boxing champ Floyd Mayweather. On Sunday (Nov. 29), the heavyweight reacted to the fight and gave words of encouragement to Robinson.
“Nate, I’m proud of you and I will always stand behind all my brothers. I will never kick my brother when he’s down,” Mayweather captioned an old photo of the two of them. “It’s ok for people to voice their opinions on social media, but no black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you. We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad and ugly. I’m here to uplift you and let you know we all love you and congratulate you for just making an effort.”
He closed: “SIDENOTE: The times I’ve had issues with another brother is when they came at me first. I was just defending myself.”
After his fight, Robinson said on his own IG: “Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, I’m OK. I appreciate @triller for the opportunity as well as everyone that has backed me during the fight.
“To my coaches, trainers, fans, and teammates, I appreciate all of the time and support you guys put in with me…it wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on the biggest stage that there has been #holdat.”
