Having music in his DNA, Musician Lil Expo is expected to add some juice to the Ghanaian music which experts say is long overdue.
Born as Samuel Archer some two decades ago in the Western Region of Ghana, precisely Tarkwa, Lil Expo has calved a name for himself even at aged 4.
Growing up was not a ‘bed of roses’ for the youngster but in all he fought his way to this present status. Talking about education, Lil Expo attended Tarkwa Municipal Junior High School.
After his junior high school education, he enrolled at the Takoradi Technical Institute where he acquired some technical training.
About how his music journey all started, Lil Expo said, “I was born to do music and I started music when I was in stage four and did my first rap when I was in Junior high school (JHS) one. At that time, I was only 13 years old.”
Lil Expo released his first single ‘In the Studio’ which he featured his good friend Cyborg and has since released couple of songs into the Ghanaian market.On his first time feelings in the studios, Lil Expo recounted how happy he was to have that opportunity and made sure he gave his best. “I was so excited when I got to the studios for the first, believe me, I gave all the best inside of me which the sound Engineer was even amazed. My punch-lines were rightly delivered got attracted some applause’s from the studio guys at that time”.
Though the rapper confirmed that he has not performed on any big stages yet, the little he had were the school stages where he thrilled his mates with his energetic and strong voice performances.
He describes his music a super and fantastic tune for the people. Lil Expo spends most of his time in the studio and listening to songs that inspire him.
Concerning the future of his music career, Lil Expo affirmatively said “My music career is very great because I have what it takes to do good music which the people love”.
To his fans, Expo entreats them to be in high expectation mood because he is cooking something big. “They should expect something big because I have started talking to the management of Nero X and we will be coming out with something massive”.
Apart from music, he is much interested in film making.
