‘Gully Gad’ Mavado released the official music video for his single Truest Thoughts under DJ Frass Records. The video is featured on his VEVO page and earlier today he released a short clip on Instagram prepping fans for the official premier at 6 pm and in true IG style, fans didn’t shy away from expressing how much they loved it.
Truest Thoughts is slow melodic tune with Mavado singing about his true thoughts and feelings about life situations and people. The first verse goes, “I man a see through life like never before, whole heap a people weh did say dem a mi bredda dem nu bredda nu more”.
The song is about people who call themselves friends but are never there for you when you need them. In a profound verse, Mavado says “ A come a tell you bout family and wouldn’t go cross the road to support you, dem travel miles fi bury you” and another “ It fxxk up how the whole a dem change up when dem see the money color dem, di loyalty and the struggle nah hold again, come a act brand new fi one shut (shirt) and one shoe”.
