PTA Blocks TikTok Once More as a Result of ‘Steady Presence of Inappropriate Content Material’ – The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on Wednesday introduced it had blocked ByteDance’s video-sharing platform TikTok within the nation over “inappropriate content material”.

“Within the gentle of related provisions of Prevention of Digital Crimes Act 2016, PTA has blocked entry to TikTok App and web site within the nation,” the telecom regulator mentioned.

“The motion has been taken as a result of steady presence of inappropriate content material on the platform and its failure to take such content material down,” the telecommunication authority added.
That is the fourth time that the federal government has interrupted — blocked or suspended — TikTok’s companies within the nation as a result of content material shared on the platform.
The event comes practically three weeks after the Sindh Excessive Courtroom (SHC) had withdrawn the suspension on TikTok companies.
The SHC had on June 28 ordered the PTA to droop the companies of the video-sharing web site on a citizen’s petition, who was aggrieved by the “immorality and obscenity” on the cell app.

The president had uploaded a video of himself on Twitter to make the announcement and wrote that the aim of him becoming a member of the app is to unfold the message of positivity among the many youth of Pakistan.
