Fans reacted strongly to Drake’s response, and are now awaiting Pusha’s next move.
While Drake and Pusha T have had beef brewing for a few years now, the tension between the two flared up through a pair of diss tracks released Friday. After Pusha called Drake out for not writing his own rhymes on “Infrared,” Drake decided to respond at length on a freestyle released on SoundCloud, and he had more than a couple of bars for Pusha T, as well as his GOOD Music collaborator Kanye West.
A few of the most scathing bars include claims that Pusha T is “not even top 5 as far as your label talent goes,” questioning of the rapper’s street cred (“Your brother said, it was your cousin then him, then you / So, you don’t rap what you did, you just rap what you knew”), and a jab about Push hanging on to relevance through prolonging this feud (“Tell ‘Ye we got a invoice coming to you / Considering that we just sold another 20 for you”). Later in the night, Drake actually produced an invoice for promotion and “career reviving” following Pusha’s mocking request to make good on his word.
